Hope & Hip Hop

Dear BEAT family,

As you know, our organization believes in the transformative power of Hip Hop to uplift our bodies and minds. Hip Hop, whose roots come from NYC, is built on the values of peace, respect, and self-worth. It has also been a source of HOPE and INSPIRATION during times of anxiety and uncertainty.

We’re confident that the NYC and global community will defeat the current pandemic and rise up again — stronger than ever. We are doing everything in our power to support our Teaching Artists through this difficult time while continuing to safely provide our Hip Hop-based programming to our students who need more encouragement than ever before.

We will take all precautionary measures to ensure the safety and wellness of our students at the sites we are currently still operating in. We are also staying up to date with the recommendations set forth by the WHO, CDC, and the NY State and City Departments of Health as the situation evolves.

Please follow our social media (Instagram: @BEATGlobal; Twitter: @beatglobal_) for the latest updates on the status of our program offerings.

Most importantly, we wish everyone well during this uncertain time. Let’s not give up on HOPE.

Sincerely,

James Kim and the BEAT Team
